The Flu virus has invaded our home–ARRRG. Cristofer has been sick since Saturday and Nick started showing symptoms Wednesday. I am hoping that no one else will come down with it, but Sam complained of a sore throat last night and Aria is complaining today. The poor kids, I have never seen Cristofer this sick. He looks awful and Nick’s temp was 104 F! The doctor said Cris is probably on his way to getting better but we got some anti viral meds for Nick, maybe they will lessen the symptoms and duration. Well, I guess we will rent several movies and be sticking close to home this weekend. 😦 I was looking forward to getting together with our friends and family this weekend. Oh, well. Sorry, Tom, if we passed this little bug to you or your family!

It’s been a long week. Sorry I don’t have anything interesting to post. Oh, I guess I can share another “Cristoferism”. Cris got sick to his stomach Saturday while at Mayer’s house. When we were in the car on the way home he graphically told us about his experience in the bathroom and I said something about hoping it wasn’t a bug. Cristofer then very seriously said, “Yeah, maybe it’s a frog.” Mr. Literal. We laughed and I explained what I meant by “bug”. I thought it was cute.

Ahhh…. I am actually enjoying being home and doing housewifely things these past two weeks. Shocking isn’t it? For those who don”t know me that well, I usually can’t stand house work and feel bogged down and stressed out about it. I think I am finding some peace and see some light at the end of the tunnel so to speak. 🙂 It has been nice to relax after all the hustle and bustle of Christmas time craziness. I think the kids feel it too. It’s like we can all just take these huge breaths of fresh air and just breathe. A good way to start the new year, I think. God bless us, every one! Happy New Year!
